Read what others are saying about The Quiet Lion
We LOVE your book!!! Kayla wanted to read it again and again...even though I thought it might be too long for her (she's only 4), she sits through the whole thing again and again. You have quite a vocabulary - some of the words in there I didn't even know (LOL!)...great for introducing sophisticated language to kids. You're amazing!

The Quiet Lion is already a classic book that is a must read to all children. It spans from primary grades to upper elementary with it's wonderful, poignant message that will make any child, or adult, roar for more. On top of the vivid writing style, the illustrations paint a winsome picture that entices you to eagerly turn the page to see what is next. I highly recommend this book and I am anticipating another story!

The Quiet Lion is a true tale of courage and friendship. Beyond just a chidren's book, it's a story that we as adults can relate to, as well as our children. Timmy learns to rely and more importantly, to trust his friends. The author's writing style illustrates Timmy's world as much as do the bright, vivid illustrations themselves. Crisp and clear, the illustrator's artwork is clean and warm. The Quiet Lion is a classic for our generation.

It's a lovely story - explaining so beautifully that challenges don't happen TO us, they happen FOR us, so we can learn and grow and be. I look forward to the next installment!

When I read The Quiet Lion for the first time, I loved it and continue to read it today. It puts me in a happy place and I can't wait to read it to my grandkids. The ending made me laugh out loud. It is a great story about someone in need of help and getting it from unexpected and different sources. Great story! We could all learn from The Quiet Lion.

The Quiet Lion is such an enjoyable story and a fun way to communicate a lesson to children. The author teaches that you never know where you might find a new friend and that you can accomplish many tasks in life with perseverance, friendship and family. A must read!

A misunderstanding sends a young lion on a search for his lost voice. Children will enjoy the adventures with his new friends while parents will appreciate the humor and clever way knowledge is imparted. Fun for all.

The Quite Lion is a fun adventure story. It takes you on a quest with Timothy the lion cub as he searches for his lost voice. Timothy finds kindness with some unlikely animal characters that help him on his journey. The
outcome is a cute and enjoyable story.
The author, Gina Anaya, takes a simple storyline and makes it charming and fun with some good lessons. The
charm begins with Timothy's literal interpretation of something his mom says. Timothy's misunderstanding results in dramatic irony that carries throughout the fun and wild adventure. Gina takes a little risk with having animal characters that are traditionally scary (like a snake), but she makes these characters caring reminding us of the
saying, "you can't judge a book by its cover."
Another daring approach by this author is to add some words that might not be in a young readers vocabulary.
However, she brilliantly places these words in sentences that a reader can comprehend without knowing the
word definition. I appreciate this approach even as an adult.
Overall, the story is easy to relate to and the underlying morals of the story do not compete with the storyline. I
look forward to future stories from Gina that follow her great recipe. I think my nieces and nephews will
appreciate them too.
