Book Signing and Fundraising Event – Sharon’s Ride Run Walk for Epilepsy

The creators of The Quiet Lion: A Quest for his Lost Voice will be signing copies of the book at Sharon’s Ride Run Walk for Epilepsy. Registration for the event is from 7:30 to 9am. The 15 mile bike ride starts at 8:45 and the 5K walk/run at 9:30. Free Phil’s BBQ & Party starts at 10:30 am. The Quiet Lion was written for Jake Anaya, one of 50,000 San Diegans that live with Epilepsy so this book signing event has special meaning for us. Five dollars of every book purchased will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County, an organization that has been invaluable to members of the author’s family. www.epilepsysandiego.org

Book Signing and Fundraising Event

There will be a live reading of The Quiet Lion, a book signing, and a presentation of checks to Celia Navejas and Nelmy Perez- the creators of Red Ant’s next book, Capitan Parchito and the Lost Treasure.

The fundraiser is to replace 500 books in the school’s library that were destroyed when a portion of the roof collapsed in the recent rains. Red Ant will donate $5 to the library for each copy of The Quiet Lion purchased on-line before February 16, 2009.
